Friday flowers
I haven't had chance to buy fresh ones yet this week so until tomorrow when I plan on buying a big bunch of tulips, this little posy of flowers is cheering the dull winter day. They used to be my Grandma's and I think they're so cute. I love the colour combination. Makes me think of spring and it reminds me of the little bunches of flowers my Sister and I used to pick on the way home from School to give to Mum.
I'm going to have a girly weekend to myself as George is away playing rugby and meeting up with an old school mate tonight. I plan lots and lots of sewing, a little treasure hunting trip in Chiswick, a night out with some girlfriends this evening and a very early night tomorrow. Finally cooking a lovely roast dinner for my love when he returns on Sunday.
Have a lovely weekend everyone. xXx

my mother in law bought me back some "flowers" like this years ago on a trip to England...very pretty.

Fiona, the flowers are lovely - I tried to email you but it didn't work - I saw that you are looking for lavender quantities for stuffing hearts - I use significantly more lavender than quoted on other sites - e-mail me on euan.glen@virgin.net if you want to get a note of the weights and sizes I use.

My Nannie had a very similar little porcelain flower ornament, in fact she had two. One was in a basket and the other was in a little blue wheelbarrow. Very sweet and lovely memories.

Sounds like the perfect weekend - hope you have a great time tonight, score lots of lovely goodies in Chiswick and do lots of beautiful sewing for us all to enjoy. You neglected to mention what you'd be up to on Sunday evening - still, you know what they say about absence making the heart grow fonder so I expect there'll be a ton of cuddling going on!

What a lovely girlfriend you must be....will you be given a dirty kit bag on his return?
I have just treated myself to some lovely roses from Waitrose; and on my return someone had left me a bunch of daffodils:)
