Always the last
I'm wondering if I'm perhaps the very last person in the blogging/crafting World to buy this amazing book?
I can't tell you how many times I've picked it up in the bookshop or looked at it on Amazon and then thought 'no I shouldn't'! I think it had to do with the fact that I read so many blogs, I somehow couldn't justify buying a book by bloggers too. Don't ask what the logic in that was. I just don't know.
Anyway, I was browsing in Waterstones in Salisbury on Saturday and looked at it again. This time I just had to have it. My justification was that as George's rugby match had been cancelled and he was just practicing, I no longer felt compelled to go watch him but decided on a cup of tea and cake in the Cathedral coffee shop instead. Therefore, I couldn't possibly sit on my own with nothing to read so I had to buy the book. There, simple. I really did need it!
Am I glad I did. It's such a beautiful and inspiring book. The best thing for me is getting to see everyone's work spaces. Just lovely.
So I'm sorry to be boring writing about it when probably just about everyone else already has, but I'm so excited and inspired by it I just had to tell you.
I've been without camera batteries for the last few days so I'm hoping to do a bit of photo taking this evening if I can set up some half decent light. I've been buying a few lovely things for the shop that I've got to photograph, along with another cute little item that came in the post the other day. There's also a picture of George the Bear doing some very impressive mooring which is currently on George's phone and needs to be transferred if possible. So as long as I don't spend the entire evening stuffing my face with pancakes then hopefully I'll have more pics tomorrow.
Who else is having pancakes tonight?

I am looking forward to buying this book, but haven't found it yet in the U.S.

Don't worry you aren't the last to get it, I STILL haven't! Soon, I hope, but the longer I wait the longer my booklist gets and then I'll have to choose just one or two!

Well, I don't want to sound like I'm showing off or anything, but I received my copy on the weekend from one of the contributors! Actually, I should have got her to sign it! It is a wonderful book and really inspiring and puts my workspace to shame! And we had pancakes too! Any excuse for pancakes. My husband cooks them for breakfast every Sunday morning, so to have them again on Tuesday was very indulgent!

You will not be sorry you have bought that book. The most fascinating bit about it is seeing where everybody works and how they create. It's wonderful.

Fiona, when I read that you had tea and cake while reading a crafting book (in England!) - I thought, "but I should be there too, in England, with a book, drinking tea...with cake....". It just sounds too good :o) And thanks for coming by today and visiting me at my blog - I love it!

I love your justification for buying the book, Fiona. There is no way you could have gone in there empty handed. I hope you enjoy this book as much as you craved it. Kim.

Yep, its a great book, I bought it when I was away with the children and had no computer so it felt like I was still getting my blog fix.

Nonnie - love your site and your new shop!!
I just love that book, had it given to me for Christmas and always keep going back to it for inspiration. You must check out all the contributors blog's and also Anna's (the editor) they are all fab!
It was that little book that got me fully involved in craft blogging and got me setting up my own!!
If you've not got it go and buy it!

I haven't purchased that book, and it looks like a lovely read! Thank you dearly for the recommendation. The last book I did purchase was for making pearl jewelry. I haven't read the entire book yet, but I could stare at pretty pearl jewelry all day! =)

I too had forgotten about pancake day and Amy has just had her tea - I wonder if I can make it through the rest of the day without her being any the wiser or whether I better just go and see if I've got a lemon lurking at the bottom of the fridge! Thanks for the reminder. Love your buttons in the last picture - you can never have enough buttons!

Pancakes - lovely!!! I'm having mine with ham and marmite (I'm diabetic so no sugar and lemon for me!!!) I have so far also managed to "avoid" this book it is in my basket on Amazon.... so it is also only a matter of time!
Looking forward to seeing Naughty George!

No Nonnie, your not the last person that has never heard of or seen this book. Now I'm off to find out more!
I have bought some great books through blog recommendations. I bought the book - Where woman create - I too love to see other's work spaces. It inspires me to keep tidy .... fat chance with so much stuff.
Best wishes Ginny
