Spring is in the air!
Despite the fact that I was running very late this morning I had to stop on my way to the bus stop to get a photo of these gorgeous daffodils and crocus. They're a smaller variety of daffodil and they make me smile every time I see them because they remind me of lots of little faces smiling up at me!
It's beautifully sunny here today so I'm definitely feeling in the mood for Spring. I couldn't help but buy the latest copy of 'Country Homes and Interiors' yesterday as I was tempted by the notes on the front talking of Easter inspiration. As I mentioned yesterday, I am rather fond of Easter. I know that it's not such a big thing as Christmas but then I think that's a lot of why I like it. I love the fact that everything associated with Easter is pretty and fresh and quite 'girly' really. While Christmas is at a time for snuggling down and getting cosy, Easter is a time for getting out and about, for feeling the sun for the first time and for renewal. I love it. I thought I'd share with you a few of the lovely images from the Easter inspiration pages.
I think this cake looks delicious!
What could be cuter than pink hyacinths and the sweetest little fluffy sheep!
I had the loveliest evening last night. I sat working away on the first of my Easter creations, sipping a glass of limoncello and watching Grand Designs that featured the most amazing restoration of a beautiful castle in North Yorkshire. Blissful. I have the first design finished and may start work on the next this evening. For now I'll leave you with a sneaky peek of 'Easter by Nonnie' which I'm hoping to put in the shop towards the end of next week. Have a lovely sunny March day. X

Don't they look lovely - and a sure sign that Spring is on the way.
Thanks for all your lovely messages on my blog. I've been very remiss in not leaving any on yours but I promise I've been lurking!! Shame you can't manage Shepton this time, but it's probably not the best weather. Wait until Spring has really sprung!

If the daffs are out in London they'll be out here soon too. Then before you know it, it'll be Easter. A great time of year.
Oh I missed Grand Designs...was watching mindless TV on the BBC.

We are covered in snow, snow, snow here in Minneapolis so seeing pictures of little flowers was very nice indeed. I'll have to run out and get the Country Homes and Interiors you're talking about. We have a Barnes & Noble book store nearby that sells British home magazines so I can get the same as you :o) It makes me smile. Have a wonderful weekend.

Your beautiful 'spring' pictures are giving me hope ~ we still are covered in snow, but hopefully not for too much longer! Debbie

Spring! Thank you for sharing such uplifting photos! It is pouring here today, and windy too. But alas, that means spring is around the corner... now if only I could spot a crocus or two in my yard, I just might believe that! =) Happy weekend!

Scrumptious Autumn has arrived 'Down Under', and along with Spring it is my favourite season.

Hi Nonnie,
I will take the tip about Regents Park. I wanted to go for a walk there last time but we didn't have time. If on Sunday it is not rainy, I will go for sure. Fingers crossed for the weather. :)
Have a lovly weekend.

It's really cool to see all the 4 seasons where I live now. In Brazil we don't see much difference. Easter down there happens in Fall. It's different from US. We get chocolate eggs but they can be as big as you can imagine. Some are really huge and inside have smaller candies or toys. We don't paint eggs. Kids don't really go look for them in the garden. My family usually cooks cod fish with potatos for Easter sunday following a portuguese recipe.
I did not start anything for Easter yet..
Ha, let me tell you the secret of tha bulletin board. Use magnet sheet on the back, so you can take it with you if you change home.
XOXOXO!

I watched it too. Wasn't it awe inspiring. Gorgeous. Wish I had the courage (and the money) for something like that. I've been drooling over Country Homes Easter pages too, that cake looks scrumptious! I bought a whole load of easter things to hang on some blossom today, most of which were Gisela Graham.. her stuff is soooo gorgeous, I just want it all. Now.

I love it when the bulbs start to come up, hopefully Spring is just around the corner!
Grand Designs was facinating,to take on such a project..don't think I could do it, it drove me mad when we had a loft conversion done!
