A little bit of toast
If any of you of fans of the gorgeous clothes by Toast, then you should definitely check out their new homeware range. Lots of gorgeous, simple looking products. The colours are quite a departure from my usual colour schemes. Maybe I'm finally being influenced by the designs I have to work on in the day job which definitely tend towards the neutral colour palette. Here are a few that are going to be making their way onto my wishlist.
You can never have too many tea towels in my opinion. I love the simplicity of these. They'd look great with my Cornishware and red enamel collection.

What could be nicer for keeping feet snuggly during the coming winter months than this cosy hot water bottle cover.

I love candlelight in the winter evenings. This lantern would definitely create a welcoming glow.

Perfect for snuggling under in front of a good film.

It may be a practical product, but I think this washing up brush definitely beats the plastic versions any day.

If I decide I want a change from my roses and pink stipe bedding then I think this natural ticking stripe would be lovely.

It's really not fair- you guys have the best stuff over there. I want everything you posted and most of what I saw on their website too.

I discovered your blog on Wild Rose and look forward to having a look through your postings, especially to discover cornishware as I have a large collection of yellow and white, and I see you feature hearts and gingham which I love too. Louise x

I really liked the toast homewares range - I must say that the models in their clothes catalogues look a bit suicidal for my taste.
I particularly liked the beeswax candles - my favourite type of candle - lasts much longer than parafin or soy wax and makes the house smell of honey.
So much of the art of these catalogues is in the photographs - Cabbages and Roses for example buys from the Danish supplier House Doctor but the wire baskets look much better in the C&R photos than they do in other catalogues where I've seen the same wares!
Definately the time of year for cosying up with beautiful catalogues,
J

Hi there - glad to hear your ear is bit better. I get them sometimes and they make me feel fluey. Anyway reading back to your sorting magazines blog - what sort of scrapbooks do you use? the proper ones ie with the pages you can add or just the ones like we used when we were kids?? I struggle to find something to put all the magazine cuttings I just have to keep. Years ago when I made curtains for people I used to have some old photo albums which I covered n LA fabricv full of ideas of windows for people to get ideas from. They were the sort of ones that had the plastic sticky page that sat ontop of the pics but they tended to go yellowey from the sticky! Catherine
