A walk around the Gardens

Sorry it's taken me over a week to take you on a walk around Kew as promised last week. I've spent the last week off work and away from any computer due to the fact that I developed a really nasty inner ear infection which made me extremely sick and dizzy. I even had to cancel doing my second fair in Stow on Saturday. I felt very sorry for myself but luckily my lovely Mum and Dad came to the rescue on Thursday with home made soup, chicken casserole, cake and flowers. I'm still a little wobbly on and off, but back to work and hopefully normal again. I think what I need is a holiday! No chance of that unfortunately so instead I will remember my lovely walk around Kew Gardens over a week ago. Come along with me.

I hope you enjoyed the walk. I don't know about you but I'm rather tired now and in need of a good cup of tea. See you later in the week. x

You poor thing, it sounds dreadful. Hope you're on the mend now. The photos are lovely, Kew's on my list of places to visit too, I only live in Hemel Hempstead so it's not that far....just haven't managed to get there yet. You've tempted me though, lucky you living so close.

These are great photos of Kew, my dad and step-mum visit often, the last time I visited you could still go up the pagoda!

Hi love your blog and have enjoyed all the pictures posted. That cake looks so great too

I am really looking forward to my visit with Hamish on Saturday. I suspect it may be a little less leisurely if H has anything to do with it. At least there's achres of space for him to run around in. I now have the cough back and a bit of a sore throat. When will these bugs go away????

Love, Catherine.

Mmmmm...lucky you! Thanks for taking us along...

Sorry to hear that you've been ill too and that you had to cancel the craft fair, what a shame! I'm sure you'll make up for it at the next one. I love Kew Gardens but haven't been there for a while, so thanks for the beautiful photos, Take care of yourself

Thanks for your get well wishes

Yes - definitely in need of a cuppa after that walk. But what an enjoyable one it was! I went to London with my parents as a 10th birthday treat (eeek, that was a while ago) and we went to Kew. I can't remember when I went again, but it's definitely not in the last 30 years! Really must make an effort ...

Hope you'll be fighting fit and raring to go by the Bath fair, but what a shame you had to miss the one in Stow. How disappointing.

See you soon.

Hope you're on the mend. Just stopped by to say, lovely pictures, thank you for sharing. Visiting Kew is definitely on my list of things to do next time I'm back in the UK - somehow I've never managed it before.

So sorry you have been unwell, you must have been very diappointed about the craft fair. Still you were very sensible not to try and soldier on and make yourself even worse. Hope your soon feeling 100% again, take care.

Hello Fiona
So sorry you have been ill.. I did wonder if you were poorly. Sorry too that you didn't make Stow..
I am sure you will more than compensate at the Christmas fair..
I love your photos.. Kew has very special memories for me.. I spent an idyllic summer's day there five years ago then went on the see Coldplay at Earls Court in the evening... Magic!
Hope you are well on the mend!
Love Michele

Wow, what a gorgeous place! each year I say to myself that I will get there for a visit but I have never managed it. I must get on and see it in person. From the looks of it, I better take a chair to have the occasional rest!

GORGEOUS!!!! Thanks for sharing your walk.

What a lovely time of year to see Kew Gardens.
The trees look amazing.
I have never been, but it is on my tick list of things I must do.
Thank you for the tour.

just lovely! look at those colours and I can almost hear the leaves crunching underfoot. I am sorry about your infection. I had it a few years back and couldn't walk basically! I would get around my flat clinging to the walls, literally and stairs were a no go so I was trapped in my upper flat! You have my sympathies and your mum and dad sound just lovely. Sorry about the fair, that's a real shame, still, you'll have even more stock to knock em dead wth at the next one!

Love Sarah x
