Busy Busy
Sorry I haven't been around much this last week. I have to be honest that I've been very unmotivated to blog just lately. I have too much going on in my head and with work, life, etc. I will be back properly once I get the next fair out of the way a week on Saturday although I might manage a post inbetween. The light has been just awful for taking photos which doesn't help. I managed to get just a few photos last Sunday when I took a very quick and VERY cold walk in Kew Gardens. It was one of those days when the rain feels so icey it almost hurts your skin as it hits your face. I hurried home very quickly for hot chocolate and a warm bath. So here are a few images from the cheerful little flowers that are blooming away in the Alpine House.
Oh, I nearly forgot about something that made me smile while I was in the gardens. As I walked along a quiet path I noticed a series of humps and holes in the nearby rough grass and a sign just next to them. I stopped to have a read and discovered that there are quite a number of badgers living in the gardens and this was one of there sets. When I'm visiting Mum and Dad in the Cotswolds it always saddens me just how many dead badgers I see by the roadside as it seems their road sense is really not too good. So I'm pleased to know that just over the wall from my flat there are families of these cute black and white creatures enjoying the safety of Kew. I just hope they don't venture out from behind the wall!

Hi Fiona!
I am sitting with the same feeling you know. I just want to do my own things, don`t want to share or blog right now. We both needed a break apparently..
I really love these bright looking pictures that you are showing. Seems so summerly..Here it is rainy and grey, not very cheerful, but i try to make it cosy and inviting inside :) How was the fair?? I hope you had a fun time!
I do miss you, and sending you a kiss and a hug :))
Love, Aina

Hi Fiona,
We have been having awful dull days too ~ I have been waiting a week to take some photos for my blog!
How I hate that icy rain ~ it feels like it is shredding the skin! I went for a walk a couple of days ago and it started snowing on the way home, but at the same time, we had really strong winds that almost blew me off my feet. Thank goodness the wind was behind me, as when I got home, the back of my jacket and my jeans were soaking wet and I was freezing cold.
Keep warm and dry and good luck with your craft fairs.

Lovely photos, Fiona! I do have to agree with you though, the weather we have had lately (even here in Norway) has not been the best for taking photos. Almost puts me off taking photos for my blog all together. But in just a little months time everything will start to get lighter and brighter again, as we start moving towards the lighter months again. I hope you have had a great time at the fair (it was this weekend, was it not...?) and that you are looking forward to the lovely time that Christmas really is. Take care!

If I lived near Kew I would not stay away. Nice bright photos for these dull days.

Hi Fiona
You're so lucky to live as close as you do to Kew! Badgers are lovely, gentle creatures. It's a shame to see the number of dead ones on the side of the road in the country. There is a widely held belief that farmers shoot or poison them and place them on the roadside so that it looks as if they have been hit by a car. Some people believe they cause TB in cattle - and some people don't - I think the farmers belong to the first group! I only hope the Government don't go ahead with their recently announced idea of a cull of badgers...
On that cheery note!!! Love your red box by the way - have a lovely weekend and good luck at the fair next weekend.

PS. Your parents B&B looks like a delightful place to stay.

once, in broad daylight, a badgers ran across a path I was walking on, in a forest in north yorkshire! my husband was attending to a call of nature behind a tree and missed the whole thing, he was sooo annoyed! Just me and brock, it was brilliant.
Good luck with your fair, I hope you make lots of pennies for yourself and meet lots of nice people.

Hi Fiona,
The flowers are lovely - how lucky are you to have Kew gardens on your doorstep.
I love badgers and feel really sad that the only time I tend to see them is dead on the road. Too awful.
Good luck with the fair - I am sure you will do very well.
Take care

Yes I'm having a busy time in the real world too right now and just no time to blog, and even if I had time I haven't got anything very exciting to talk about! It's nice to hear from you if only briefly. Lovely photos, you're so lucky living where you do with Kew on your doorstep. Good luck with the fair, I'm sure you'll do well with Christmas coming up.

I love badgers, one jumped out at me in the dark the other day coming back from a walk in the dark down the downs, it gave me such a fright. Its nice to think they are over the wall from your flat.

So lovely to see some flowers Fiona, thank you! We use to have badger up at our old allotment, but we never got to see them. Good luck with all your crafting, I am too easily diverted by blogging ....!

PS If you want the chocolate bath foam, the link is on the post where it says "bathe" in purple! I didn't get it from there and I'm sure there are lots of other stockists.

Hi Fiona,
Here I am going through a hard time blogging too. Not much to talk about really. But I hope it changes for us soon. :)
Here in Hampshire it makes me sad the amount of rabbits killed on the road. It sometimes makes me shed a tear. Poor bunnies. :(
All the best at the fair. Unfortunately it won't be possible for me to be in Bath when you are there. Too much going on here. Unless you fancy visiting the Christmas Fair down here. ;) Anyway, hope you are having a great week.
Take care. x

Hi Fiona
Thank you for the sunny photos.. it is lovely to see flowers at this time of the year!
You are obviously being a good girl and getting on with your work and not being seduced by blogging..
See you soon at the Fair... Can't wait!
By the way .. just looking at your photos.. Smokey is a dead ringer for my Pickles. Is he moonlighting I wonder?
