Some cute presents

Dsc02167

I just had to show you all a couple of very cute presents I received at Christmas. These were from my Sister and Brother-in-law and I just love them. I'm not sure if they're trying to say something about my organisational skills as the item above and below is a card box. It has month by month sections inside where you write a note of Birthdays and Anniversaries and file the cards ready to be sent! Very organised!

Not only do I absolutely love the box with all it's sweet little houses around the outside but I also love the idea of being so organised and it definitely fits well with the goals I'm setting myself this year. I'm never any good at keeping to a list of resolutions so I'm following Cherry's suggestion instead. I'm just setting myself a couple of words for the year which are going to to see me through the year, hopefully in a better way to last year. My words are Positivity and Organisation. I'm feeling extremely positive this week, now I've just got to get organised. Filling this card box will be a start!

As well as this box and the DVD of 'Miss Potter' which is the loveliest film, my Sis also made me a couple of lovely presents. She very cleverly produced some absolutely delicious Thai Jelly for which she made the sweetest little cover. Isn't it gorgeous?

Dsc02175

Along with the Jelly was another package with the label 'Nigella Rules!' and inside I found a lovely jar filled with milk and white chocolate chips, just ready and waiting to make a batch of Nigella chocolate chip cookies. I may not quite have Nigellas store cupboard but my ever growing collection of lovely jars filled with ingredients makes me feel very organised in the kitchen.

So I'm going into 2008 with my two words firmly in my mind. Hopefully I can stick to them and make this year a great one!

Dear Fiona,

I wish you a wonderful 2008.

The idea of being organised is something I strive for - I am still striving as I never seem to get there. But what a lovely way to be organised with the card box - you did receive such lovely things.

Ax

I just love all your presents, as I love the idea of being organized! It does make life easier (being organized) and is something I strive for. And it sure would be lovely to have such lovely goodies in the store cupboard too... Wishing you a great weekend!

I really like your ideas and sewing. Everything looks so pretty and well done.

I really love your ideas and sewing, very pretty things! :) I found your blog throug Mias Landliv.

What delightful gifts. I love that card box :)

Happy New Year Fiona!
Organised it top of my list for this year too - hopefully having the studio will help in that department!

You can ORGANISE those little choc chips and then POSITIVELY eat them! x

Those are such sweet and thoughtful gifts! How lovely it must be to have a sister! I was never blessed with one, and always dreamt of what it would be like to have one. I suppose going along with your positivity theme (I am definitely going to follow your lead!), having the love of a dear sister is certainly a blessing! =)

What gorgeous presents, and I adore the lovely stitched jar cover. I have yet to see Miss Potter, I think I may have to rent it soon!

I love seeing your presents. The box is very sweet. The jars are so cute I'd never want to open them. Or maybe I'd just want to wait a while. I really enjoy your blog.

You got some great gifts. That box is adorable. I loved Miss Potter.
Thanks for sharing,
Rosemary

So glad you like everything- you are very easy to buy for. Also thanks for writing about me so nicely in your blog. Don't know what my word is. Any ideas???

Hello Fiona!

What a lovely Christmas gift! I just love boxes and this one is just beautiful! The jelly and the cookie mix sounds wonderful too. Enjoy!!

Smiles...

Beverly

I love this box! I would adore one like it ~ so many times, I have bought cards for birthdays etc, then mislaid or forgotten about them until after the occasion for which they were purchased!

Very well done. I think the same.

Good words, positive people are great to be around and even better if they're organised positive people! I like the idea of the box, I'm terrible at sending birthday cards, they're all written on my calendar and I remind myself in the weeks before to post that card but then get caught up in a busy week and the date passes me by. So bad, I need to be more organised too (maybe get them all written in advance on a quiet Sunday afternoon?!)
Happy positve 2008 to you.

First off, I had a Nonnie and she was my favorite! Secondly, do you know where the box came from? It is beautiful!

Positivity and organised? As in 'I am positively never organised'? Good words.... just two I never get to use together positively. Have a cool 2008 & I am jealous of the box (I have a thing for boxes and organisational bits)

You've got the makings of a very good year there Fiona! Love the box and just think how many cookies you can make now! enjoy!

I saw the idea for the card organizer last year and am in the middle of making something similar in the hope of being more organised. What a clever sister you have for making the thai jelly - I love thai food it's my favourite and as for the chocolate chips I can definitely recommend using them as the Nigella recipe is delicious.

have fun - I'm going to try and make that my motto for this year,
Janette

I think the idea of words or concepts is a much better way of doing resolutions than resolving to go to the gym 3 times a week or stop eating crunchie bars or whatever.
I have resolved to move utside my comfort zone this year - last year I decided to say yes to more things.
Good luck - very cute house organiser - is it Phoenix cards?
